I was in town and a friend who frequents Phoenix told me I must stop here. She was right! I got there early on a Saturday (as some reviewers suggested) around 9:30 before it opened. There were already people lined up all the way up the stairs. Figured I get some coffee first so I came back at about 10:10 after the store had opened. Needless to say it was packed!
I was wearing sandals-good for trying on shoes but I kept thinking someone was going to run over my feet with their cart. (Note to self: wear closed toe shoes next visit).
Be prepared for people grabbing things right in front of you (good thing I had coffee first). Funny too because there was an announcement on the loudspeaker saying something about "aggressive shopping behavior would not be tolerated and person would be escorted out" (I am paraphrasing)
Just the week before I saw a pair of NYD Jeans for $120 at Nordstrom and found a very similar NYD Jeans for $20. Yay! I looked through the shoes and found a pair of TOD's in my size for $64.97. There was a very minor part on the tip where some of the color was off. Until I looked very closely I could not tell. That made me so happy as I had been wanting a new pair but was hesitant to spend the $425 price tag Nordstrom is selling them for. I also bought a Vineyard Vines floppy hat for $10.97.
If you want a serene and non-stressful shopping experience, this is not it, but if you want a shopping adventure, it will be like finding the pearl in the oyster-worth the hunt.
Also, I did visit the store 3 different days and 2 of the times after I waited my turn in line to purchase, a shopper took their cart and parked in front of me pretending he/she did not see the line. Whatever-did not let it bother me.
