My friends and I came down for the night in order to play some pool. We came early enough to get a table despite it being a Saturday (granted, it is July and there are fewer people in town) but it did become crowded later on. We had an amazing server and the drinks are very reasonably priced. It would have been a great night, save for one thing:
I was forced to hide my cross necklaces. Don't get me wrong, I understand the policies behind dress codes that ban baseball caps, bandanas, or particular gang colors. But necklaces?? They aren't huge pieces of bling, but small and sentimental religious items I wear every day without issue. I've never experienced anything like it before, and frankly, I was offended. I couldn't even get a reason from the staff beyond 'it's the policy'. Had I not been with my group of friends, I'd have left immediately. As it is, I don't plan on going back.
