  • After eating at the disappointing buffet at the Carnival World Buffet inside the Rio, I knew I had to go to a good buffet the next day. The first place I thought of without any hesitation was the Wynn. I have been here many times before and a revisit was in order. I will come out and say it, this buffet is pricey. It actually had jumped about $10 for breakfast since the summer and from looking at other yelp reviews, it jumped $2 in the past two weeks. Its about $36 for each person which is definitely on the expensive end for breakfast, but the food is definitely worth it. You can immediately tell the difference in the time and care that was put into making the food. Everything looks and tastes freshly prepared and it wasn't just zapped in a microwave to cut some corners. I ended up getting a couple of eggs benedict, smoked salmon, bacon and sausage. I will say this, the Wynn has changed their eggs benedict to use ham instead of smoked salmon as their "default" way of preparing it. But after a little reorganizing with the smoked salmon they had at another station, I got it the way I wanted it and how they use to prepare it. To be honest, with the ham wasn't that bad either as I left the second one as is. It was equally as good since they use a good cut of ham. The sausage was good and juicy and the bacon was crispy like I like it! You go to some buffets and restaurants for that matter and the smoked salmon can sometimes get waaay too salty *cough* Bellagio *cough*, but the smoked salmon here is to die for and smoked perfectly. Afterward, I got a various number of pastries at their massive pastry station. Man it was good. I can easily say it has got to be the best pastries in a buffet I have eaten. You know that is made fresh each day by someone who is actually a pastry chef. That's the difference between the Wynn buffet and the others. I will pay extra if I am getting something extra and in this case it is yummy food. The detail, flavor and care in making the food means I will definitely be back again!
