  • We had Ilya Uvaydov from Urban Appliance replaced our LG ice maker. He stated that the unit needed to be replaced and it could not be repaired. The replacement written estimate (parts and labor) was almost $500. I checked on amazon and a brand new unit was $200. So I was charged $300 for labor that took only 15 minutes. I waited two weeks for the parts to come in and for Ilya to make time and come to our house. After the replacement, the unit works well. After I posted this original review, Ilya emailed me how to reset the open door alarm. It works now. I have changed my review and I only wish the labor cost would have been less like $100 for 1.5 hours. for a total of $350. I am satisfied with the replacement and maybe that is the going rate
