I knew about Bruxie from back in the day when they opened their first flagship store back in Old Towne Orange. I knew the owner because him and his father would eat at my mom's restaurant nearby. I never really tried their savory waffles until now. Wow. Now I know why they were so busy. You can't go wrong with fried chicken sandwiches in between waffles.
I ate at this location twice during my trip to Las Vegas. Original spicy chicken, waffle cut fries, strawberry lemonade and their Wisconsin frozen custard- everything was fresh and so good.
Very casual environment. You order at the counter, and they give you a gps tracker where your food gets dropped off at whichever table you choose. Inside and outside patio dining. They also have beer and wine options. Self serve area for ketchup and waffle sauce (basically sweet syrup) and napkins.
Crispy chicken fried in clean oil and light fluffy waffles- what a combo!
Service is efficient. Nobody stood out in an extraordinary way. I did have one woman try to clear my plate when I was still eating- not cool. They have a spot to tip but actions like that get big fat zero dollars from me. I am a good tipper because of being part of the restaurant industry for many years, so mediocre and rushed service gets no love from me.
Come for the food.
