  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Smoke Modern BBQ. First off, the atmosphere is wonderful - the restaurant looks simply amazing. It is sleek and modern but has a warmth to it that doesn't at all make it feel sterile or formal. Second, the food is excellent. The wings (in the Korean BBQ sauce) are fantastic - big, juicy, and the flavor is wonderful. I found both the brisket and the ribs to be as good as any that I have found in the area, if not better. And the Mac and Cheese? Sinful. I am happy to be adding this to my restaurant rotation and think that this will be a great addition to the Birkdale community.
