This museum contains so much amazing art. First off, I was thrilled to get a discount on my entry ticket due to my Vancouver Art Gallery membership. Check with the front desk if you have memberships at other major Canadian galleries because you may get a similar discount.
The space is well laid out with several floors and adjoining spaces. You have access to three other buildings, including a museum of design. I was so happy to see the Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit. I've travelled to many galleries across the globe, and this was the first time I was able to see such a large scope of his work. Fabulous! The other major exhibit on display was Pompeii, the early Roman period. It was fascinating with a mixture of sculptures and film.
In addition to all this, the other modern art by well-known international & local artists were beautiful. It was almost too much to take in. I was glad to see a cafe, where I could take a break in between. Overall, the museum is a remarkable place.
