Came here for dinner when my family was in town and it was a hit! I absolutely love the mission of this restaurant and I think it's so important to have businesses here that focus on the needs of our city.
King's Kitchen has a mission to help the homeless in uptown charlotte not just by providing meals, but through a rehabilitation program that helps homeless individuals learn life skills, stay on track and find work. Most of their staff is part of the program.
Not only is this a restaurant with a great cause behind it, the food is delicious also! The owner of King's Kitchen also owns Rooster's, so I'm not surprised that the food is top notch. They have a variety of classic Meat and Three options with fresh ingredients and home cooked flavor.
My only gripe is that they ran out of fried chicken before 7:30! That was the main thing I wanted to try. I asked them to substitute the fried fish instead and it was till fantastic so I guess I can't be too upset!
