My first time at this location. I wasn't prepared for **the tiniest** $5.65 scoop. Smaller than a ping pong ball. I'd expected bigger from having gone to the Queen, & Lakeshore locations. I suppose that is how they make their margins on handmade flavours. (I've just been spoiled elsewhere). I was given 2 stacked regular cones which I took to be considerate (for melting I think, though I hadn't asked) but because the actual ice cream was so small, it was not a balanced dessert and ended up being drying (I guilt eat everything as not to create garbage).
I tried Apple Crumble flavour and while it "worked" there was some kind of separation of the dairy cream which left an after texture in my mouth (apart from the crumbles). And as was said by others, it didn't taste fresh.
On a hot day, in a prime location, where a nearby corner ice cream place just closed down, to have no line ups and ice cream going stale means the business model is not working.
I will make the effort to line up where ice cream is done right.
Service was sweet and friendly. Though from reading reviews, I now realize I'd been charged 50 cents for using a credit card, but hadn't been told.
