| - I would NOT recommend this place for the toddler/beginner classes. I have always had a problem with the way the 3 year old class was run. It is a 50 minute class. The class starts late and ends early. The teachers are inconsistent, and passive. They dilly-dally for the first 20 minutes, losing my child's attention doing completely irrelevant warm up exercises that don't even seem gymnastics related. None of these instructors that have taught this class emphasize the important things about gymnastics, like form, straight arms, or pointed toes. They just let them do everything the wrong way and don't correct it. Just because they are 3 year olds, doesn't mean you shouldn't have any expectations of them. The kids only make it through about 1 of the 3 planned "stations." And then they pull the kids off the floor 15 minutes early because according to them it takes that long to give 6 kids gummy bears and a piece of paper. My kid is back in my arms with 5 minutes still left of class time. All I see is my hard earned money going to waste. I don't pay to have my kid do actual gymnastics for 10 of 50 minutes. I pay for my child to get some energy out, learn the basics, and hopefully pick up a few skills. I complained. They switched the teacher. He was more aggressive, and better at managing the class time. I was satisfied.
Then I was told that my 5 year old's 75 minute class would be "cut short" since she was the only one that showed up that day (everyone was on vacation). I felt compelled again, to fight for my money's worth. I paid for 75 minutes of their time, so why, when my daughter is in heaven with all that attention, do they feel the need to "cut it short?" When I talked to a manager, the best she could say was that she didn't want my child to get over-exerted. Never gonna happen. I dare you to try to exert my 5 year old child. I don't feel like that was a satisfactory explanation. And either way, I just didn't agree with it. The manager told the instructor that she had to go for the whole class (god forbid!).
Poor customer service skills. I was told that "it's fine" if I look somewhere else for gymnastics. They are not apologetic, because they have no interest in changing the slow, passive, and loose way that they are run.
There is SO MUCH better than this place out there.
