A group of us went into to have one final drink to toast a friends birthday, each having one drink at the bar. Once we received the bill, we noticed a 10.50 service charge. When we asked the bar tender why, he got defensive and threw menu at us which had their policy of 6 or greater getting a service charge. I have seen these types of charges for tables of people where multiple people must work to properly serve the patrons but never when a bar tender has to do less the 10 minutes to serve a group standing at the bar a drink. The manager did fix the problem ultimately but still don't know why this is a policy not presented properly to those standing around the bar.
