Nice space, polite staff, and my services were okay, but I expected a greater level expertise based on the reviews I read. The most important part of a salon service is the consultation. My stylist was very nice and pleasant, but he wasn't receptive to what I was asking for. I was explicit in that I didn't want diffused highlights, but that's what I got. I asked for a trim and a little long layering, but I got a pretty ho-hum one length bob that was not executed with as much precision, or refinement as I expect for an $80 haircut.
My advice for the salon is to ditch all the gadgets. Instead, focus on technique and giving the guest what they ask for. The assistant took longer to lay out an array of cutting tools that would shame a serial killer than the stylist took to actually cut my hair. Too much gimmickry and not enough skill for my taste.
