Highlights:
Friendly staff
Tasty breakfast options
Hip boutique vibe
Low points:
1. Beware the "resort fee" of $20/day. I refused to pay it and they adjusted it when I checked out. I did not recall seeing the fee amount during the registration process. The clerk at the desk said it was in my confirmation. Wrong. He then pointed to a handout/map that was furnished at check in. I pointed out that that info was needed at the point of purchase as it had the effect of a 20% increase in the special "direct booking" rate. At that point he adjusted the fee.
2. Same scenario on parking...nowhere during registration was there mention of a $10 fee to park in their open access and unguarded lot. Their site says there is Paid parking, but in the same paragraph it says the resort fee covers parking and some other items.
3. The Keurig coffee maker in my room did not work.
The lack of transparency on resort and parking fees, which if not protested would have added approximately 30% to the room price that I had purchased online, leaves me with the thought that I would not stay at this place again.
