This was our second stop at Buddy V's while visiting Vegas. First you can't beat the location if you are a shopper. The restaurant is located in the Canal Shoppes which is one of our favorite haunts while visiting.
What always blows me away is the line across from the restaurant for his bakery, it usually is formed at least halfway down the corridor. All I can say is the bakery must be delish....but I digress.
We only had to wait 10 minutes for a table at lunch which you can sit in the bar or wait in the corridor. We were seated in the bar area. The best way to describe the vibe here is casual chic. The restaurant feels very open yet has a Brooklyn restaurant feel to it. Servers are dressed casually and make you feel very comfortable.
I would have liked the server to be a little more friendly...don't get me wrong she was very efficient...just didn't seem happy to be there. However she gave us great service and everyone has those days so it did not take away from the experience.
I had the eggplant parmesan which was HUGE and delicious. No way I could eat it all or even half of it...but I sure did enjoy trying. Hubby had the spaghetti and loved it. The cheese garlic bread is like an entree on its own...perfectly toasted with yummy gooey cheese. We both enjoyed the menu as all of the entrees have special ties to the owner like My Wife's Eggplant Parmesan or Lisa V's Linguine, this just gives you the feeling of being in an Italian grandmas kitchen.
Hubby ordered a Buddy V's lobster tail for dessert and I can tell you they look just like they do on his tv show...big and stuffed full of tasty goodness. I only had a bite as i was still trying to tackle the eggplant parm but it was magnificent.
This is definitely going to become a lunch tradition when we are in Vegas. Great food at reasonable prices
