  • Went to Ra for my son's 18th birthday because he remembered loving it when he was younger. We should have gone somewhere else. It was the biggest waste of money we've spent in a long time. This place is all about the looks and a hip vibe. NOT about the food and service. My salad was not fresh and my Chicken Yakisoba was drowning is so much sauce it was horrible to eat. My Sea Monkey was good, but then this place is all about the drinks. The rolls were ok but this is not real Sushi. The rice fell apart in the soy sauce - the mark of truly great Sushi is not only the fish, but the rice you put it on top of. Even our old favorite tempura fried ice cream was completely cold (I know it's ice cream but in the past its been warm with a little melting around the edges). This looked and tasted like it was pre-made and thrown in the microwave. The service was horrendous! Our waitress was attentive at first but then it got busy. She asked me if I had gotten a fork with my salad. I told her no and she said she'd bring one - it never came. She picked up my son's glass from his Virgin Mojito and said she would come right back and clear the plates. She put his glass back down on the table and off she went never coming back to clear our dishes. Another one of the wait staff did. We ordered a second roll and it took 20 minutes to come out. Then she told us she'd put the ice cream in and that it shouldn't be too much longer. At that point she left our check and it took another 15 minutes for dessert to come out. My husband is furious because we paid $110 for a meal that wasn't worth $20. My son was disappointed and we are NEVER going back. In fact we are so upset we are going to do a redo so he doesn't remember his 18th birthday like this. All looks and no heart!
