| - Stayed here over Labor Day weekend to explore around downtown Charlotte. The location is great- not too far from the airport and walking distance of all sorts of fun stuff!! We were able to walk the entire weekend, with the exception of two short Uber rides because we were exhausted. Ended up walking over 20 miles! The hotel itself was very nice. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and pleasant. When we checked in, we had originally reserved a single king sized bed, but they told us they didn't have any left. This was a little annoying, but they upgraded us to a room with a view and two queen size beds instead, so I can't really complain much. The beds were comfy and pillows were as well. All the linen looked clean, white, and soft. My biggest complaint has to be the dang light switches. Still have no idea how they worked. Occasionally we would just get lucky by pressing it and it would turn on, but it would take MULTIPLE taps and pushes in different spots of the "button." It sounds like not a big deal, but when you come into the room at night, or are trying to go to the bathroom, it's nice to be able to instantly have light instead of waiting for at least 5 minutes for the dang thing to click on. Other than that though, everything else was pretty nice! Loved the variety of fruit-flavored waters available every morning/afternoon in the lobby. So refreshing on the hot days!!!
