  • The bagels at Gryfe's are so damn good! It's a unique style of bagel that I've never had outside of Toronto. They're crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and have killer flavour. Totally different then the dense, chewy and salt-free Montreal-style bagels, which I hate by the way. If I can get 'em fresh I'll just eat them straight with no toppings. If they're more than 1/2 a day old, toast them and put on a little butter or cream cheese. Absolutely divine. Lawrence and Bathurst too much of a trek for you? Gryfe's bagels are also sold frozen to various groceries stores throughout the city. For example, Fiesta Farms (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/fiesta-farms-toronto) cooks Gryfe's bagels from frozen each morning. Almost as good as the real thing.
