  • Do not waste your time and money at this hair salon, the staff is incompetent and they treat paying customers like crap! There are far more talented and competent hairdressers out there! I recently had to try a new hairdresser due to scheduling issues with my go-to hairdresser ...HUGE MISTAKE. I received services to get my haircut, colored and highlights. I even went as far as sending the hairdresser (or lack thereof) a picture of exactly how I wanted my hair to look and before we even started to color my hair we discussed the exact look I was going for. The look I was going for was something lighter with some light brown and caramel highlights instead what I got was a dark brown with "tiger stripped" ORANGE/RED streaks! The haircut was completely uneven and my hair was so sticky I had to go home and immediately wash my hair after the appointment. She left my hair as was and didn't style it or anything; I even had to go as far as asking her to let me straight-iron my own bangs! Coming from a person who has had her done for twelve plus years this is not something taken lightly. The mistake was supposed to be "color corrected" but I quickly changed my mind about this person ever touching my hair after speaking to numerous people and hearing everybody's negative comments on my hair. My coworkers at the law firm I work for even went as far as laughing at the horrible dye job and asked me if I DID IT MYSELF! I was mortified and had to wear beanies and hats throughout the weekend. I received a text message from the hairdresser to confirm our "correction" appointment in which she stated she was not doing any additional services just putting in a color correction toner and blow-drying my hair "a $140 service she was offering me for free" (as if she was doing me a favor). Your consumer's right's are to express your unsatisfication with services you paid so her $140 worth of free services were what any logical business owner would do to keep the client satisfied. At this point I canceled my correction appointment because I had completely lost my faith and trust in this "hairdresser. I spoke to the salon owner "Latrice" to speak about my unsatisfaction and voice my concerns. My first concern was to let her be aware of her renter's incompetence and secondly get compensated for the $195 blotched hair dye. The salon owner was completely insolent throughout our conversation and even went as far as screaming for the last five minutes of our phone conversation until I hung up the phone. Throughout our conversation my tone remained neutral and I had to repeatedly ask her why she was yelling at me? She continuously yelled that she nor the salon had any liability over the hairdresser who did my hair because she was an "independent contractor". I kept stating that I had come to her to resolve this issue and regardless of the liability issue, the salon is owned and services were rendered at her facility. After the mistreatment and abuse, I let her know I would be warning everybody about the mistreatment, to which she replied that she didn't care about negative reviews because "everybody writes negative reviews and your bad review is not going to stop me from getting business". I was denied a full refund by both the salon owner and the hairdresser due to her "written policy on her website" which you can see for yourself at her website here . I have now paid a total of $440 with the original hair dye job and the correction done by the very talented Ashley at Tease Boutique. I am proceeding to take this matter to the small claims court being that I am in the legal field and very familiar with the consumer protection process. My first mistake was not doing my research on this salon. After being bullied and even asked to not share my experience with this facility, It is essential to share it with any prospective clients so that no one has to go through a similar situation wasting their time, money and dealing with a headache dealing with this hair salon. It comes as no surprise that this hair salon "Dollphace Koutore" is not certified with the Better Business Bureau because at this point, their rating would be in the low percentile. Visit the Better Business Bureau's website yourself and you will find no listing or grading for that matter, of this establishment. So beware ladies if you are unsatisfied with a horrible hair dye job, for one, you won't be compensated and for two, you will receive abuse from the salon owner.
