I know it's no large casino hotel but we had a blast here!
We had a two bedroom condo with fully equipped kitchen. Pool was on the small side but was relaxing and nice.
Here's my tips:
To get to the strip talk the path on the left when facing the pool gate. It goes to a side gate and takes you to a city sidewalk that's behind the Tropicana. Go into the Tropicana, or in the front is path over to Exaclibur from there the casinos connect inside you can walk to Luxor and Mandaly inside through the casinos with out ever leaving. To access this go to the second floor of Excalibur.
All taxi's and ubers know this resort but not all big casino taxi doormen do so don't panic over knowing the address if he doesn't because the driver WILL.
The resort is VERY close to the airport and it was only $10. Theres really no need for a car here if you want to fly, if you want to go to the grocery store just take an uber.
Hooters is next door, as in the casino/hotel and restaurant. It's kinda gross (smells) and the gambling is not great but when in Rome....
