  • The good, the bad and the UGLY! Let me start off by saying when I first moved here 7 months ago I was beyond excited about moving into a brand new never lived in apartment. When we 1st came and toured the property we were taken back by how nicely upgraded and modern the clubhouse was compared to other apartments that we looked at. I mean the gym alone is better than most gyms that you pay for. The pool area is amazing, especially with the fire pits and BBQ'ing areas. There is a nice dog park (that they recently upgraded) and a workout trail that goes around the complex. There is also numerous dog cleaning areas around the complex with complementary dog waste bags so that you can clean up after your dogs. When you tour the apartments you are very impressed with the modern feel and the nice upgrades in the units. Ok, ok, so it sounds like this should be a 5 star review right? WRONG! So when we moved in on our move in date we were told we were going to have a walk through since this was a BRAND NEW NEVER LIVED IN UNIT and that they were going to go over the features with us, such as showing us how to use the included Cox Homelife and built in surround sound. We showed up for our SCHEDULED appointment to finish signing the paperwork and get the keys to our place and had to wait over 20 minutes. When the lady who was supposed to help us finally saw us she said she was busy on another tour and brushed us off to someone else. The lady we dealt with gave us our paperwork to finish filling out and seemed annoyed when we had questions regarding certain things we read (she was on Facebook and Snapchat) Before we finished signing the paperwork there was a checklist to be completed during the walk through. She told us "don't worry about that" and "that we can finish it after we move in just sign it" YA RIGHT! We were handed the keys and told to "just go do a walk through on our own because they were to busy to come with us" WOW! ALRIGHT, WE FINALLY ARE GOING TO GO DO THE WALK THROUGH HOW EXCITING! YA RIGHT!!! We opened the door and our excitement went from excited to even more pissed! The BRAND NEW NEVER LIVED IN APARTMENT was so dusty and dirty that we had to spend 3 hours cleaning the place before we could even move in (dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, etc) The refrigerator had a big dent in it and the washer didn't fill correctly. What's the point of putting down a cleaning deposit WHEN NOTHING WAS CLEANED? We complained to management and they said they would make it up to us, but nothing ever came about it. A positive is that the maintenance dude Brandon is awesome and takes care of issues right away! OK THE REAL UGLY (yes it gets worse).....so the complex is supposed to be a NON SMOKING COMMUNITY and supposedly management tells everyone that when they move in and it's also in the lease agreement. There are people who smoke on a daily basis both cigarettes and marijuana. The smoke goes through the vents and you get that nasty a** smell in your unit and in the hallways. We've tried sending messages to management and supposedly they address the issues but clearly whatever is said goes in one ear and out the other, because people continue to smoke in their units and common areas such as the pool and dog park. These apartments are also very poorly built. You can literally hear your neighbors peeing! The walls and floors are paper thin. If you are on the 1st floor like we are, you hear every footstep your neighbors make. We've again tried telling management and all they say is "this is a shared community" again, we shouldn't hear the neighbors peeing. Some neighbors leave their dogs on the patios all day and night letting them bark at all hours of the day and night. Dogs use the restroom on the patios letting their waste go over the edge of the patio onto the lower units. That's sanitary right? Nothing like seeing patios covered with dog pee pads! GROSS! This complex has turned so GHETTO so fast that it's sad considering how nice it looks from the outside and how much we pay to live here. You would think some of these units are section 8 approved. I've heard several people at the pool say that a resident made them a copy of the pool key so that they can come and go whenever they want to and that they have made copies for there friends because the pool here is like going to a resort. It would be nice if those people cleaned up after themselves! Since moving in there has been 3-4 different staff changes. I'm not sure if it's from the stress of having to hear all the complaints or what it is, but it's very concerning as a resident that the turnover is so high. I really did have high hopes when we 1st moved in and now I can't wait to move out, even if that means breaking our lease early. It's sad, because this place has so much potential and can really be a great community. I just wish management was a little more strict about enforcing the rules and following through with them!
