  • I stayed here 4 nights during a business trip because it was the "conference hotel" and I received a discount. I didn't do my homework and if I had looked at the other reviews in advance, I probably would have thought twice about booking. I'll start with the only redeeming quality of Candlewood Suites - the staff. They were friendly and the service was good. The staff really earned that 1 star; if zero was possible I'd honestly consider it. That's where the positives end. I have stayed in my share of "value" accommodations so I know not to expect any frills. I do, however, expect a clean, tidy room. This place was an absolute dump. My room smelled so funky - like the ball pit at a Chuck E. Cheese, there was hair in my bed leading me to believe that the sheets weren't even changed between guests, and the floor in the kitchen was sticky. The walls were filthy and there literally appeared to be boogers and/or other bodily fluids smeared above the headboard. The condition of this hotel is appalling. It appears that it has a fair share of extended stay guests as is evident by the boxes of trash in the hallway. I literally dreaded coming back each night and wish I had chosen another hotel in the area. I appreciate when management takes the time to respond to yelp reviews, however, please don't bother on this one. These are basic issues that a guest should not have to call to your attention and it appears I'm not the first to do so anyway.
