  • Review of ONLY the vegan ice creams. I had an errand to run on that side of town so I finally got over to try this place out. Psyched to finally have vegan ice cream again (after my much beloved Atomic #7 closed). Went in and the only vegan flavors available were vanilla, chocolate and mango. WTF? The owner saw how disappointed I was with not having the chocolate PB flavor that he made me a chocolate milkshake and put PB in it. Good shake (MUCH better than the "shake" over at Zoobacrackers @ the Wynn). Had a small scoop of the mango. It was creamy but didn't have much of a mango-ey flavor. It just goes to show how much I miss Atomic #7! I got to talking to the owner and he wants to expand his vegan flavors. I told him to start out by making some of the non-vegan flavors vegan. We got to talking about the flavors Ginger used to make over at Atomic #7 and he agreed that most of them are do-able. So who knows? Maybe more vegan flavors are on the horizon. I probably won't go back unless I have something to do on that side of town. It's just too far away to drive from Henderson just on its own. Plus when I'm craving a vegan Rocky Road ice cream, mango just doesn't cut it.
