Not my favorite Vegas hotel (I normally prefer the Aria), but I was here for a conference and it actually was better than I expected.
Positives:
-- Rooms in the Grand tower have been renovated since the last time I stayed
-- Love the Whiskey Down bar in the casino (best place to play blackjack in a relaxed environment)
-- Lots of restaurants/shops/amenities close by
-- Service was actually really good, both at check-in, hotel operator, housecleaning, room service, restaurants
-- Pool area surprisingly good
-- Hakkasan
-- Great suites available for entertaining/events
Negatives:
-- The crowd can be a bit sketchy. There was a stabbing on the walkway to the hotel one night, and also I had to move my room the first day given a giant marijuana fest going on next door. To the hotel's credit, they moved my room immediately and were able to automatically change my keycard.
-- Gym is horrible -- way too small for such a large hotel
-- Conference facilities were cramped given the size of the conference
-- Conference food was average at best
-- At the end of the Strip
