  • I frequent BMV quite a bit since I live and work very close to it. It was the first place I checked when I needed a cookbook; I wanted something cheap and I wanted it right away. It didn't take very long to find what I needed in the store. It's organized by genre along the walls. The tables in the middle of the room are a random selection of the most popular titles. They're somewhat organized by genre as well. If you're looking for cookbooks, they are among the first few tables as you walk in. It seems cookbooks are the biggest seller here. The prices are definitely competitive. Not all the books are used, and even brand new books are pretty cheap. If you're the type to buy random books and want to do it on a budget, this is the place to go. The shop owner is also very helpful. I always have questions about specific titles and he can tell me right away whether or not he has it available. You can get lucky if you're looking for a new, popular title, but he usually stocks those right on the counter and they're sold out fast.
