| - I stopped in here today with a friend after we saw (on FB) that their Coconut Hefeweizen was going to be untapped today. I've heard great things about this brewery & love trying new, interesting beers. Plus, I typically love anything coconut, so it was an easy decision to stop by.
Oh my goodness, the place is adorable! Inside, the decor & atmosphere is SO fresh, you do not feel like you're in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. From the chalkboard art to the wood detail designs, the entire theme & interior design is on point. The venue is small & it was also pretty crowded for a Sunday afternoon, but we were able to snag two seats at the bar. My friend and I each got the coconut Hefe, which surprisingly, did not taste much like coconut, but was very light, perfect for summer & for anyone who typically loves Hefeweizens.
After seeing one of the bartenders prepare some tacos, we decided to sample some food. We got the hummus with pickled veggies & the spicy hard pretzels. Neither did disappoint. The pretzels seemed homemade with a spice mixture - great for snacking while drinking beers. The hummus was delicious, great presentation, but could have used more pickled veggies. (I also love anything pickled!)
I ended up also getting a growler of the Coconut Hefe for a beer brewing relative, (I'm a sucker for limited editions,) and intend on being back here soon! I can't wait to try more of their beer & food & def recommend it for anyone looking for a unique brewery with a lot of charm!
