  • The good reviews are probably written by friends, family, or someone they paid. This place is filled with liars, thieves, and crooks. Do not use Open Lot. I found Open Lot via a magazine but in the magazine they're actually called LV Auto Brokers (red flag #1. Why are there TWO names for this dealership)? I get in touch with them and this dude Tony pre-approves me for a car. He tells me I can just pick any I like. So lo and behold here I am thinking "Wow I'm approved for anything? On my poor score? Excellent!" I find a car I like. No, I loved. A Nissan Versa. I tell him and he pre-approves me for it (red flag #2. Why do I need to be approved again)? I'm talking to Tony and telling him all he needs and all I need. I say great, I'll be there on Wednesday. Tony tells me I need 6 references and I was like got it and my awesome co-workers were willing to help me out. So on Tuesday, Tony is not there. I am calling the dealership to see if I need an appointment because I planned on having a mechanic come out. I talk to this guy named Ray. Ray doesn't seem to have ANY idea that I even had an application which I don't think I did. And he has to approve me a THIRD time. (red flag #3. WTF three times?!??!) I'm worried as hell but I still go out there after breaking my money order (they don't take them, gee wonder why). I get there around 12:30 and my mechanic comes around the same time. The mechanic does his thing (which by the way, they had to jump start the car first as the battery was dead) and then we go for the test drive. We come back and the mechanic tells Tony the battery needs to be replaced and the tires too. Tony says they'll do it (this was NEVER done). Mechanic tells me the battery should not be at 12% no matter how hot it is outside (that was Tony's excuse for why it died. In fact he said all the batteries were dead in all the cars. Good way to keep your cars in shape). The mechanic leaves and we go in to do the paperwork where I proceed to sit for HOURS and HOURS. I'm wondering wtf is happening. This shouldn't be taking so long. Turns out I need to be approved a FOURTH time. Because guess what? The guy who approved me the other three times was fired the same day I got there. That's right. This is the BS lie they came up with. The guy got fired and now the bank, who has two names too. Nevada West Financial and Right Sized Funding (red flag #4), don't want to finance me for the car I want. They want to finance me for a starter car. After I already paid the mechanic $85 for the Nissan. Tony tells me I didn't have to do the mechanic, that was my choice. Oh yeah, I didn't have to because then I wouldn't learn that your company doesn't take care of the vehicles on your lot and you'd sell me a lemon, which you did. I'm pissed. I had been there for hours. I get up and storm out and here comes Tony telling me they'd give me the car anyway. So I go back inside (HUGE MISTAKE #1). They do the deal and I have to find insurance (red flag #5). They have ONE company that they work with even though Tony acted like they had several and this company has THREE different names: Estrella, American Access, and US Auto. My insurance is 220 DOLLARS DOWN. I give what I have left which is the amount after pulling more from my account. I get this car on the 30th and the insurance is good for 20 days (I find this out later) where I am supposed to pay 196 more dollars. Oh and you can't give them a bad review. They don't exist on reviews. I take the car and leave. (HUGE MISTAKE #2 as the car had a check engine light on as soon as I pulled out and the fact it needed to be jumped and they didn't change the tires or battery like they said they would). I was not in the right mindset as I had been there for six freaking hours. I'm crying and upset and I'm trying to get it home. The next day, after clearing my head, I decided I didn't want it anymore. Too many lies, too much BS. They finally come and get the car. They don't leave me a receipt, even though I asked repeatedly via text via email and phone, I had to go get it. Ray (biggest liar of them all next to Tony) also told me I'd get my down payment back (via text which I still have proof of), but then told me I forfeited it when I got my receipt. Do not go to Open Lot. They are liars, thieves, and crooks. Avoid the headache I got.
