  • If your time and your health does mean anything to you than you should stay away from Steinberg at all costs. Two weeks ago I called them (even though they were supposed to call me) to schedule an MRI. I told them that I was in pain and that the referring doctor had faxed over the paperwork. The nearest appointment was two weeks away. I had no choice and agreed on it. Today (two weeks later) at about noon I got a reminder call to bring all of my papers, insurance card, ID and, of course, the money. Two hours later I received another call from Steinberg Diagnostics. The person told me that they still do not have an authorization from my insurance provider and asked me if I wanted to give them a call. I just snapped. Are you kidding me? One day before the procedure they wanted me to do what they were supposed to do weeks ago! Naturally, I told her to go and ... This is not the first time these guys expect their patients to take care of their business and then they turn around and charge some ridiculous amounts even though half of the job was done by the patient. I try not say NEVER, but in this case I am saying it. Never ever will I use Steinberg Diagnostics for any reason! It goes without saying, I will let all of my friends, family and co-workers know that this outfit is a joke and not worth dealing with.
