| - 4 words for my experience at Becker's: PAIN IN THE BUTT!
I was there picking up a dress with my friend, for a friend who lives out of province. They were all smiles when she was purchasing it, and then very, very rude to us when we went to pick it up.
Communication was awful. We were there to inspect the dress and pick it up, it took 45 minutes, 30 of which were spent sitting in their chairs while they said "Just a minute". And couldn't tell us what the delay was. We finally left after we offered to give them our phone numbers and have them call us once they got organized. They called nearly TWO HOURS later.
My friend had been requested that one of us try on the dress while the other inspects it and the staff actually scolded us for suggesting it, and said repeatedly that they didn't want us to do that. I understand following store policy, but as they had the request in writing, and the dress was now purchased and no longer belonged to them, this was so out of line. We had to ask them to find the documents with the request, which they said didn't exist.
Once they found her email requesting this, they did not apologize, but continued to scold us for suggesting that we follow our friend's request. The woman who was scolding us would not make eye contact and would turn away from me when I spoke to her.
They were stressful to deal with, rude and disorganized and didn't apologize for the way they spoke to us, or the delays. I hated the experience. I am actually getting married as well and will not be taking my business here. Save yourself some stress.
