| - If you had told me that someone decided to put a taco restaurant in an old converted church, I would look at you skeptically and tell you, "Well those tacos better be damn good." So now I will tell you, someone decided to put a taco restaurant in an old converted church and those tacos are damn good!
Located in the shopping complex right across the street from Urban Beans, Taco Guild definitely delivers on personality upon first glance. With a high chandelier and stained glass windows, as well as wallpapered pictures of characters during times long ago, you feel like you've just stepped into a time warp situation.
The menu includes delicious tacos with large helpings, and if you order three you have a choice of an appetizer or Street Corn. Please go with the Street Corn! The Chipotle mayo is divine and it is some of the best corn you will ever taste!
The tacos we ordered included a range of meats and we sampled half of the menu, with the most notable being Urban Bean Coffee Braised Beef. Each taco had its own unique flavors, but this one stood out amongst the rest because the beef was very juicy and paired well with the mango relish and cojita cheese.
For drinks, they offer tequila samples, and although I passed on that the tequila based drink I ordered was very smooth. Their beer selection was average so I recommend anything with tequila to pair with the drinks, tasted much better.
Finally, can't complain about the customer service either. We came during lunch time on a weekday and Eric, the bartender, took great care of us! We can't wait to come back!
