  • We were staying at Caesar's and wanted a nearby breakfast joint with pancakes and eggs for the kids. Serendipity 3 fit the bill. Had a 9:15a reservation, but it was the off season on a Tuesday, so there was no big line anyway. We chose the patio and got a nice shaded table. Service was good. Food and drinks came out in reasonable time. (We were in and out in under an hour.) I mentioned a nut allergy, and there were no problems. Our child with the allergy was able to get the teddy bear pancake on the kids menu. Our other child enjoyed the cheese eggs. My husband got the oatmeal. He said it was okay, but I'd pass. My breakfast burger was perfectly cooked and tasted good, but wasn't spectacular. Prices were a bit high ($14 oatmeal), but we expected that. We left satisfied, but not wowed. The next day I stopped at the to-go window for a frozen hot chocolate. The people at the window could have been a tad more welcoming. I'd stop just short of calling them unfriendly...aloof might be more appropriate. But my drink came out quickly and was delicious, just a richer chocolate flavor than I'd expected. I can see how that drink made them famous. 3 stars for convenient location, okay food, and that frozen hot chocolate. We'd probably return again if staying at Caesar's for those same reasons.
