  • Good: 1. Frontier Landscaping's Brian Schaefer, came out quickly to our home for a landscaping consultation. 2. Family owned business. Bad: 1. Following the consultation, Brain promised he'd send us an itemized estimate in "a couple of days." We did not get a response back for three weeks. Brian Schafer apologized for breaking his word without bothering to provide an explanation. 2. Frontier Landscaping did not respond with an itemized bid but a single number of $7,500.00 while at the same time explaining at the same time that the work we requested was not the kind of work his company normally handled. 3. The bid amount is x3 higher than the next landscaper. To his credit, Brain advised in his letter that I might get a significantly lower bid from a landscaper/maintenance company. Bottom Line. I do not recommend this company. The bid was weeks late. And, I feel I should have told at the consultation that Frontier did not do the kind of work requested.
