The wait is terrible but I think I would rather go to a doctor with a lot of patients willing to wait a few hours to see a doctor they trust then go to an in and out empty office belonging to an ignorant med school start up. Dr Kaplan is very frendly and sociable and is amazing with kids. My son lit up in his office because the doctor really cared to get to know him. He frequently has students sit in for training which is can be a little awkward paticularly when he has no filter discussing symptoms but I suppose it makes sense. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me with a few issues. He can hear symptoms and calculate them into diagnosis pretty quickly. My only complaint is that now I have a good quantity of prescriptions to manage... I would have liked to discuss other options aside from more pills... then again I didn't speak up. The wait is worth it and I am confident he knows his profession well. I would agree that the receptionist is a little stressed... she is very direct about information and it comes across as annoyed or abrasive. I think she is kind and helpful and will not give you half assed uninformed answers which is important when dealing with penny pinching insurance companies. She is your first line of defense when it comes to helping manage your health care... give her the respect she diserves. She does a lot for this office and is very knowledgeable and busy.
