  • DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! We reserved our full size car online and when we arrived to pick up the car, I asked how much an upgrade would be for a minivan so that we would have enough space for my family and all of our luggage. The guy at the counter asked me if I was military so I told him yes and he said he could give us the super deal discount of $39/ day. At first I thought this was too good to be true but the counter salesman kept telling me how Advantage takes great care of our military and that's the best discount. Then he kept thanking me for my service and had me feeling really appreciated. Of course my family was getting impatient after a long flight and so I zipped through declining all the "extras". All was great! The minivan was awesome up until I went to return it. Upon return, I get the bill of over $700 for a week long rental!!! When I asked that something was wrong the guy was rude and stand-offish saying that I was in error and to look at my paperbark. When I looked real closely, it showed that I not only paid for my original full size reservation but I was charged an additional upgrade fee of $39/day. Needless to say I was a bit livid and asked to speak to the manager and the same jerk who helped me with the car return states that he is the manager and that there's nothing he can do. I tried repeatedly to just shave some of the price for the misunderstanding but he wouldn't budge and just shooed me away as others were waiting to return their car. I walked away fuming but then thought about how many other Soldiers this company may scam/con into paying more than what they were told. I had to do something to make this manager understand that what he was doing was wrong so I walked back to give him a piece of my mind in hopes that at least his conscience would remember not to do this to another Soldier. I basically degraded him for cheating a Soldier and for using "military discount" to scam Soldiers (who don't get paid a whole lot) and then I "thanked him for his service!" Wow, I will never ever use this place ever again and have recommended the same to all my Soldiers. Definitely also calling the BBB on them too.
