I went in for a consult to see if I was even a candidate in the first place. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and even after my scheduled time I waited an additional hour to be seen. Three patients who arrived after me were seen before me (two were consultations as well). Another patient waiting cancelled her appointment and left because of the wait.
After I went in, the technician did testing for about 15 minutes and then another technician came in and immediately told me the day I should come in for my pre-op appointment without explaining the results of the exams, let alone if I was a candidate.
Any question I had I was given a vague answer in a condescending manner. I felt my concerns weren't taken seriously and did not feel comfortable at all. When I stated a friend's long recovery with side effects I was told I was wrong and wasn't lasik. There was more pressure of scheduling the surgery within days because of "special pricing" than actually explaining the procedure, what to expect, and any instructions pre and post surgery other than have a ride. Ultimately she said I had to schedule and pay for the pre-op appointment and then I would get a more thorough explanation.
In addition it took several phone calls afterwards to actually get some answers from the Charlotte office after calling customer support and the main lines.
I can't say anything regarding the doctor because ultimately I chose to go with another eye center for lasik. The customer service was horrible and the price could not justify how I was treated in the office.
