  • So. To clarify, I discovered David's Tea for the first time two weeks ago at this location. The service then was first class: a ten out of five. I bought a variety of teas and sampler packs and received a few perks for my enthusiasm. I left feeling very positive about both the product and the service. It just so happened that within these two weeks, my medication changed and with it my ability to withstand or tolerate much caffeine. So, the solution was to order more tea online, but various kinds with either no or little caffeine. So I did that. Also, within the past two weeks, I have needed to purchase gifts, so I chose to purchase teas from David's again online. So among my purchases with David's were three (12 tiny tin) sampler boxes. Within two of them, there were NINE tins that I couldn't open. Within another type of sampler pack that I purchased, there was one bigger tin that I couldn't open. I contacted online customer service to see whether there was another way to manage this before making a special trip to the store. Nope. Ok, so I thought that since I have now spent enough to qualify for two or three free bags of tea, I'll make that special trip to the store and pick those up, as well as getting those small tins opened or exchanged. Now, it seems to me that not being able to open NINE tins of tea in three sampler packs is a BIG deal, despite the rolling sideways on the counter trick online customer service had told me about. Fortunately, the salesperson opened all of them for me and for that, I am grateful. Now I can use the tea that I should have been able to use in the first place. Was it inconvenient? Why, yes, it was inconvenient. Then, I was told that I will be unable to redeem the free bags of tea until two months from now when they send me an email notification. While in the store, I picked up a few more loose teas that I liked and purchased those. Another salesclerk, I think it was the one who served me the first time I visited, passed by and added a free carry sac to my bag. I asked about free samples to try at home. Nope. None of those. Just with online purchases. The whole thing was irritating. Adequate, but irritating. Especially so as within the past two weeks, I have spent a huge amount of money with David's, the amount of which is likely visible in the frequent steeper system which was entered and accessed several times during my visit today.
