  • I officiate weddings part-time and needed a new dark blue suit. I went to the Black Friday sale at Men's Wearhouse in Champaign to look for one. One suit! Look what happened to me! I must tell you, I've been buying upscale menswear for a long time, and I have rarely had a more purely enjoyable shopping experience than I enjoyed today. Gabriel, the store manager, was a revelation: experienced, knowledgeable, helpful, caring. He was...elegant, and at no point did I ever feel any pressure to buy additional items. (Although I think we ended up buying about 14.) He's only in town because his wife is earning her degree at the University of Illinois: he's really too good for Champaign-Urbana (it's just a fact), so go see him while he's among us. In fact, if you see this on Black Friday, GO NOW! The prices are amazing!
