  • I'm not very good with plants. I kill cacti. Seriously. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to keep them alive. However, this hasn't stopped me from trying! I purchased a basil plant at the farmers market downtown, but needed to pick up a few essentials before I could plant it. I ventured to Home Depot with my best friend and we spent some time browsing all of the different fertilizers and dirt options, but had no clue what to buy. We must have looked confused because a very nice employee stopped over and asked if we needed any help. He was very knowledgable about the different properties of the various fertilizers and explained them all to us and even helped us select one specific for vegetables/herbs. I'm not sure if he knows how appreciative we were. He really made our experience in Home Depot fantastic. Thank you kind and helpful employee! I hope I can keep my basil plant alive!
