| - There are so many OTHER dental practices in North Scottsdale. I recommend going to one of those before ever, if at all, deciding on this practice. They have had high turnover of their office staff. This results in inexperienced staff who tell you bad information and do not know the impact of their allowing treatment on their out of network, outsourced specialists and your insurance refusing to pay. Even after I left this practice, my new dental office was having issues getting my basic medical records to fix a tooth this office should have done correctly in the first place.
Everybody, please be careful with trusting their up front estimates to you. Make sure your out of pocket maximum for the year has not yet been met. Make sure they do not perform ANY work on your mouth until you have in-hand proof of your insurance paying for your procedure and make sure any of their outsourced specialists are covered under your plan, even if AZ Smiles is. They have office staff but if you go to this practice, YOU are the one that should be trained or you will end up paying a lot more than you anticipate. My other dentists provide me up front and honest estimates, although it is good practice to understand your insurance coverage. AZ Smiles will bill you an exuberant amount later, blaming you for your insurance not covering the procedure.
They claim this is not their practice, but I am not unique in my experience with them (the other yelp reviews are almost verbatim to my negative experience). Although the administrative staff has had turnover the Dentist has been the one constant and she has allowed this to continue. Read the other reviews. I regret not reading the reviews before trusting this practice.
I have been at a new dentist now and I have had no issues. My kids have orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and my husband and older son now go to my new dentist. No issues with any of the others. What is the common denominator here?
