I have gripes with airport coffee shops. Most of them charge $5 for a coffee cup that squanders all flavor and caffeine. Why? because they're the only game in town.
Peet's in PHX, on the other hand, does not cede its integrity as a world-class cafe. I paid $6 for a medium cold brew and a bottle of water - not bad for airport pricing. My cold brew (taken black) was no different than a cold brew from a regular Peet's: Nutty with hints of chocolate. Moreover, I was abuzz after 12 ounces of this potent son of a gun.
As a cherry on top, their staff was friendly and got me my drink within 30 seconds.
I already winning Phoenix!
