| - Vegan and Gluten Free review:
I had a salad. It was the only thing on the menu I could eat. I'm totally fine with eating salads, so that is not the reason for the 2 star review. The 2 stars is for the bad service and bleh salad.
I had the kale salad with the candied pecans on the side. I asked if the pecans were candied in butter or if they had any dairy/eggs/etc and the waitress gave me a blank stare and responded quite rudely, "I don't know. We buy them in packages". I asked if there was an ingredient label I could read and she was all, "No". Awkward. I ordered the pecans on the side because someone at my table wanted them for her kale salad (same salad). When my salad arrived, the waitress placed the plate on the table and said, "We ran out of pecans." The way she said it was just so crass and she had a 'too bad' kind of attitude. Whatever. I looked at my salad and it was literally missing more than half the things that it should have had. It was leaves with dressing on a plate. Who thought this looked good before sending it out?! I got the attention of the waitress and asked her about the missing cranberries and avocado. She was like, "oh there aren't any cranberries?" Well, that's what I just said, isn't it? At this point, I was totally over dealing with people. When she returned with the missing toppings, she gave a random (and poor) excuse. That was the end of my interaction with her.
Salad review: I didn't like the dressing because I thought it was way too acidic and there was way too much of it. There was no real balance of flavors in this salad and the toppings did not go well together.
Overall: If you're vegan and your friends really want to eat here, then go for it, but don't say I didn't warn you. If they're up for any burger joint, check out Yardhouse. They have mad awesome service and a great vegan section on their menu (VEGAN BURGER!!!)
