| - Soho was my first place I visited while visiting Las Vegas. I came here on the on set of happy hour and we ordered a variety of items including, the Cajun Albacore Sashimi, Salmon Roll, Black Cod Butter Lettuce Wraps, Spicy Tuna Roll, Fried Calamari, and Kurobuta Sausages wrapped in Bacon. All items were between $3 and $5 during happy house, not to mention the $4 ice cold draft of Sapporo.
Both rolls, where great. The spicy tuna had a nice kick and tasted good, and the salmon roll's salmon was very good, rich in flavor and with a good amount of fat. The avocado pieces were perfectly ripe and creamy. The Albacore Sashimi was very good and the Cajun rub brought on some unique flavors. The Albacore was mild in flavor and the garnish of thinly sliced jalapenos went a long way. I liked the sauce underneath, but I wish they would serve it on the side, because it was a little heavy handed.
The fried calamari was lightly breaded, thick, and tender. It also looked very appetizing with light honey color, but its sweet flavor was king and soft tenderness just right. The Kurobuta Sausages were bliss and were the perfect appetizer to eat with the cold Sapporo. The sausages were crispy, exploding with juice once bitten, and packed with a great meaty flavor. The crisp and chewy bacon just added to the goodness via its flavor and texture.
The Black Cod lettuce cups were pretty good. I expected a little more flavor from the cod, but it was good. The fish was light and flaky, but the cups needed some kind of sauce drizzled on top to moisten them up.
Service was great and provided by a great young lady named Candice. We were lucky to have her with a enamoring personality and friendliness. No doubt, this was a great start to my Vegas visit.
