No reason to stay here, unless of course the show you're in town to attend, is there...
I was recently in Vegas for a convention, which happened to be at the Rio. The show was worth it and a great event. Sadly I can't say the same about the hotel. They're larger 'suite' rooms are a plus but that's about where the positives end.
The rooms are incredibly outdated (circa 1980's) and there were so many things wrong with the room that I started a list to keep track. I won't list them all, but the highlights include a safe door in the closet that wouldn't close, preventing closet doors from opening properly. Frayed rug, filthy drapes, issues with shower doors, plumbing issues...the list goes on and on...
Also disappointing was the food in the restaurants. I was only able to find two places I could eat and neither were great. Although Smash Burgers was the highlight if that tells you anything (they had a decent veggie burger).
I won't be back, unless of course the show I attended returns there...fingers crossed that they find a better venue...
