  • Found a great breakfast place about 10 minutes outside of the airport. I noticed they list a location inside Terminal 4 but, for some reason I missed seeing it. As I arrived at their downtown location, I noticed a crowd waiting outside the front of the restaurant. This is always a good sign that you're in the right place. I sat at the counter and ordered their classic Hog and Chick (bacon and eggs) with home style potatoes. Their potatoes are well seasoned and their bacon is nice and thick with the right amount of black pepper. It came with 2 thick pieces of sourdough toast with a special home made jam that you should not pass up. It actually looked like a small side of salsa. But, it came served with my toast. So I tried it and it was amazing. I don't know what's in it but, trust me when I say it's worth a try. This is significant since I'm normally not a jam person. Great friendly staff. I highly recommend it if you're ever in the downtown Phoenix area and have time for breakfast, stop by Matt's Big Breakfast.
