| - Despite the bad reviews for this location I decided to take a chance since it was right across the street from my doctor. Granted, it was a Monday and I did not make an appointment. I had a 11 a.m. App with my doctor and wanted to get blood work before that time. I arrived at 9:45 a.m. Believing I would avoid the early birds who needed to get blood work done and needed to fast. My blood work did not require fasting as my doctor assured me. I walked into a room packed with people, mostly frail senior citizens . I handed my papers to a grey haired woman who did not crack even the faintest of smiles. She immediately asked me if I had fasted and I said no, my doctor said I didn't need to for it. She said YES you do and the test will be thrown out if you decide to go through with it ! The paperwork was for five different tests and she insisted one required fasting and she went on to say they had emailed ALL doctors of that fact. I said well ok, can you just do the other tests? I was told yes, then she asked for my insurance card, took the information and told me to have a seat.
My experience with labs before, I usually have to wait no more than a half an hour, if that. Usually Labcorp get people in and out pretty quickly. So fifteen minutes later I needed to use the rest room and the same grey haired woman behind the glass practically glared at me. She needed to ask my name again for some reason and then proceeded to get up and open the locked door to the back where the rest room was. Someone was already in there, she said so I would have to wait. And wait...and wait and wait....
After this wait, I had to wait again in the waiting room and since I had been there for over half an hour and only two people had been called back during that time.....I finally approached the grey haired woman behind the glass once more, apologizing that I had to bother her once again, but could she have an idea of how far on the list I was and how much longer it would take? She asked me my name, again, must be short term memory loss, and after flipping back and forth through six files said I had five more people ahead of me. They gave me no clue as to how much longer it would be, so I asked.would I be our of here to make my appointment across the street in 40 minutes? Without looking at me she said oh know I don't think so...do you want your papers back? I said no..I'll wait a few more minutes. Ten minutes later I realized this was hopeless. After watching how rude and insensitive this employee was to every single little old lady or man who approached her to just as a question, I gave up. Anyone this unhappy with her job needs to move on and do us all a favor .
I got up, asked for my papers....she asked my name for the third time in twenty minutes and I walked out. Went to my doctors appointment then to Labcorp a little farther down the street. Was in and out of there in less than half an hour with the nicest, friendliest male receptionist and lab technician. And guess what, I didn't have to fast like the grey haired snotty woman at Sonora qwest insisted . Will never go there again. People who feel the need to be rude and snooty to patients...even the most helpless and frail, need to look elsewhere for employment. Lest they be on the other side of the glass window someday at their own facility needing help.
