This place is totally unprofessional and the staff is not patient oriented. I should have paid attention to my gut feeling the first time I was there. The front desk people never smiled, never even looked at you and they acted like you were a bother to them. But I went anyway and saw the doctor. He scheduled me for a future appointment and his assistant was to call in a prescription for me. It has taken me almost 6 weeks to get my prescription and I still don't have it. I have called and called and went to my pharmacy several times and they tell me the same thing, they can't get in touch with anyone at the doctor's office to get a diagnostic code for the prescription. You end up always talking to someone who isn't even at the same location, which is frustrating because she doesn't even know anything about me.
When I called today, I had an appointment card in my hand with the two dates for my lab work and the following week to see the doctor. They called me to remind me of a lab appt. It was not the date that was written on the card they presented me at my last appointment, so I called them back. It took me three tries and 20 min on the phone to get anyone, and when I did the girl was rude and told me they never made a mistake. She said I must not remember canceling it. That is such a lie. I put the date in my phone and on my calendar and when I told her I had no reason to cancel it and I had the appointment card in my hand right now with the original dates, she told me, it doesn't matter, she has no openings for that day. It would have to be weeks down the line. I had already waited 8 weeks. I'm so angry because I DIDN'T CANCEL the appointment and I'm a diabetic who really needs to see the Doctor. She wouldn't listen to me at all.
I do think Dr. Alamir is a good doctor, but he has surrounded himself with incompetent rude people who won't take the time to listen, continually over-talking me as I tried to explain. I've never seen anything like it. I was recommended to Dr. Alamir by my other doctor. I will certainly inform him of the way I was treated. His office staff is kind and compassionate.
If you like being in an office where they treat you coldly, mess up your appointments and fail to even get your prescriptions correct, this is the place for you. I chose other wise.
