  • Customer service at this location is extremely rude. My husband and I were curious to find out if the Costco in Canada is any different from the ones in the US, we decided to spend an hour of our vacation time to check out this Costco since it was right across the street from the homewood suites we stayed at. Upon check out it was one thing after another. They told us they didn't accept American Express (I thought maybe they don't use Amex in canada or something, but apparently this is not true according to yelp.) they wouldn't accept my debit card because it had a visa logo on it (again, must be a canadian thing). Without saying anything to us, the cashier completely voided the transaction and wouldn't let us check out, I didn't know what was going on, i had to request to talk to the manager twice. Luckily my husband and I had enough cash to pay in US dollars. All this for a bottle of ketchup and maple syrup. So to answer my curiousity yes, the Costco in Canada was much different, they were very disrespectful. This experience ruined our vacation. Upon coming home to my local Costco, I found out that they put a block on my member card during my last visit..... How rude!
