  • Okay 3 stars because of the CONDITION OF THE ROOM. Husband had a little problem with the front staff's neglect and took it up with the GM. We thought everything was going down hill for his bday. No. The GM apologized and upgraded us to a double room suite with breakfast voucher. Sweet! Now... The suite is for the most part clean. It is dated, but what do you expect from a 30 yr old resort that hasn't been renovated? It was still nice. The bad part was that I found bed bugs when I opened the bed covers and a baby spider fell on me while I was sleeping. It tickled my face. I screamed. It wasn't dirty in a sense of filth, but just "old" stuff. We didn't complain about it to the front desk, bc we killed the bugs immediately. In any case, remember, it's an old resort. The pool... we went to the pool with the waterfall. It was fun. Staff were nice. The pool could be cleaner a little more. Some people would leave plastic cups by the edge and they'd fall into in the pool. We got this deal via Groupon so no other complaints.
