We visited Casa de Plata last night for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were so impressed with the drinks and food. We started with the fried coconut shrimp which were very flavorful and filling. We ordered the molcajate, Creole shrimp pasta, fish, and campechana. Each of us loved our meals. The molcajate was full of whole pinto beans, grilled beef and chicken, and your choice of red or green sauce. We ordered it with the green sauce. It was bubbling hot and full of flavor. The Creole shrimp had just the right amount of spice and the pasta is was served over was very creamy and cheesy. The campechana contained a lot of seafood and was full of flavor. The fish contained a green sauce on top which was slightly salty, but full of flavor. You must try the Diablo Margarita, it was delicious! We will be back soon and make this one of our "usual" dining places from now on.
