  • Pros: - The performer playing Prince does a good job. - The main female dancer is sexy and looks to be enjoying performing in the show. Cons: - Not his fault, but it took me almost the entire show to adjust to the fact that the Prince performer is a lot taller than Prince. Just threw me off. - I know they have a limited time on stage, and Prince has a large song catalog, but they could have added 7-8 minutes to the show and added the following songs (or parts of these songs): When Doves Cry (how can you not sing this one), Under the Cherry Moon, Beautiful Ones, and with that sexy dancer they had, Darling Nikki (cmon, this is VEGAS). Unless... Prince doesn't allow them to do this song, because of his religion now. They could have also done an encore. These are standard nowadays. - The singer playing Vanity was not sensual AT ALL. (I was glad to see a sister in the show, but I kept looking at the other dancer when Vanity was singing.). In Nasty Girls they cut the line, "I need 7 inches or more." Probably not her fault. But at the end of the song she sang the last part in a very uninspiring manner, "Is that it? Wake me when you're done." Then, as she's leaving the stage, almost as an after thought, she sings the closing line, "You'll be the only one having fun." It was just weak. She was not convincing. The song sounds sexier on the radio. - Jerome (from The Time) has a baby face. They need a more mature looking Jerome. - The bartenders at the bar downstairs were slow. Bartenders back home in DC clubs are three times faster at a crowded bar. Maybe the bartenders here are in the culinary union and can only serve a certain number of drinks in a certain time frame. I was in the union when I lived in Vegas way back in high school and I was a busboy at the Dunes, so I know union folks can be slow. Probably why there wasn't an encore, maybe the union stage hands would have to be paid overtime if they work longer than the 80 to 90 minutes the show was.
