  • This was my second teeth cleaning with Four Peaks Family Dentistry, and I can't say I will return. On my first and initial cleaning a year ago, I had taken a day off for the cleaning only to be told to come back another day since they could only do the x-rays on the initial visit. I wished they had told me that earlier! This time around for my second cleaning, I felt that the hygienist was pressuring me to buy into this "fluoride varnish" treatment (one-time paste they put on the teeth after that cleaning) saying my gums where sensitive and that they needed the treatment. I finally gave in without much other explanations about why the fluoride treatment was needed. Anyway the hygienist seemed happier, and proceeded with the rest of the cleaning. From that point on the cleaning went much smoother, and with less discomfort afterwards once the hygienist was happy. Upon check out I got a receipt for services rendered, and for the out-of-pocket fluoride treatment I had to pay. To my surprise it showed the charge for the fluoride treatment was credited to the hygienist, and not to the dental office. Probably within a week after this cleaning I got an "Explanation of Benefits" from my dental insurance, which showed that I had overpaid out-of-pocket for the fluoride treatment, over the contracted rate the dentist had with Cigna. I messaged the dental office. No response. A week later I called and was told the person in charge of the billing was out of the office, and that they would call me back. No call back. Another week later I called again, and was told they were waiting to hear from Cigna, and that they would call me back. That was 6 months ago, and to this day I still haven't heard back about why they overcharged my credit card. I did hear from them eventually a week ago when they called me up to confirm the next appointment. I told them I would not go, and why. The lady said she would relay the information. I still haven't heard anything back. They obviously only care about making their $$$, and much less about their customers...
